Basically the skin is so dry that it cracks and bleeds. At the moment it's only oozing though.
The doc said I had infected excema and gave me Trimovate cream to put on 3 times a day for 3 weeks. It's a cream with stuff to kill the infection as well. I did that and it was damn good. The skin was back to normal after about 3 days.
But when I stopped the Trimovate it got dry again. So I went back to the doc. He gave me Unguentum, which is a moisturising cream, but doesn't have the steroids to control the infection. Unfortunately while it's moisturising it doesn't stop my skin going red and becoming dry after a few hours. So I guess the infection's back.
I've tried going back to Trimovate but whenever I stop the infection comes back. I now need to go and see the doc again, but due to the NHS booking system that'll be about 5 days away if I'm lucky.

I have the same skin disorder.
See a specialist, prolonged use of steroids can cause more problems, there are different treatments available. If you smofke STOP!!!
Smoking can make it worse, weakins your immune system.
